The kids left yesterday for Oklahoma to stay a week at my dad’s house. That’s right, a whole week. With just Greg and me. Much to Greg’s annoyance, I already have a whole list of things to do around the house.
It is weird without the kids. I wanted to cry yesterday when they left. Allison was so excited to go in Grandpa’s car, to Grandpa’s house. We even got some kisses goodbye from her. I know she will be fine, but a small petty part of myself hopes that she won’t be. That we get a call tomorrow saying, please come get her. Only you can make her feel better. That is just a teensy tiny part though. I really hope that she has fun, I want her to enjoy visits away, but you know… there is still that small part.
Nathan and Zoey will be fine. They are old pros at going to visit Grandpa’s house.
