A couple of weeks ago, Greg went fishing with a new buddy who has a boat. It wasn’t just any kind of fishing, but night fishing. Imagine my frustration when Greg woke me up after they returned around 2 am. Then did a perfect imitation of the kids when they feel like you need to watch every thing they happen to be doing, even if it it is the 30th time to watch.
Instead of, “Are you watching? Did you see that? I’ll do it again. Did you see it that time? Mom, watch this!”, it was more like, “You have to see this. Come on! Grab the camera! Are you coming? Look! Look!”. *
So, imagine my surprise when he took me outside to see this guy. I suppose he was worth being awakened.
This fish weighed about 25lbs and was around 3ft long. Because most people try to catch bass at this lake, Greg’s friend called the park and wildlife people to get them to measure and weigh the sucker. It would have been the largest catfish caught at this particular lake. Unfortunately the fish didn’t survive long enough for the official weigh-in.
*Okay, so really he said, “Sorry to wake you up, but would you mind coming and taking a picture of this fish I caught?”. At 2am though, is there really a difference?

Nice lunker! I’d have done the same thing. Sleeping just ain’t as important as bigtime fish catchin’.
