It’s not suprise that we have the occasional wild animal visit our yard. We do live in the country after all. We have seen deer, rabbit, snakes, armadillos, opossum, racoons, and if you listen to our neighbor who swears he has seen one, a bobcat.
On Saturday, we had a visitor I never thought we would ever see in our yard. It was big and black and we weren’t quite sure how close we should get. I did manage to snap a picture of it.
Supposedly this guy is worth between $3-5k. I’m not sure whether he is hanging out by our pond during the day (we really need to get a tractor on the field) or if he is sneaking out after they put the cows away to get some better grass. I kind of think he is sneaking out to the greener pasture. Surely someone would notice him missing by now.
That picture doesn’t do this animal justice. You should see the size of the gift he left me to clean up over by Anna’s garden.
