Excuses, excuses

It wasn’t my intention to give up posting after writing something every day, but it just kind of happened. I’ve put in a few long days and nights at the office and haven’t had time to surf the net, let alone write a post. All that you would have gotten was geeky work stuff. I’m not going to completely bore you with talk of setting up new servers and all of the stuff that goes along with it (mostly because I was winging it with some help from one of Greg’s brothers, Thanks Jeremi!). Starting today, I hope to get back to posting almost every day again.

There should be plenty of things to talk about. Have I mentioned yet that Allison and I are going to be in a wedding next week? One of the girls I work with is getting married and asked me to be a bridesmaid. Allison’s an old pro at being a flower girl, but I’m pretty sure it’s my first time to be in a wedding. It should be fun.

What to watch

Since I’ve already admitted that I watch way too much television, I’m not going to feel bad about the rest of this post. It looks like we are coming to the end of new shows, what with the writer’s strike and all. So far, I’m not afraid though. Netflix has added some shows to their “watch instantly” group. For the past two nights, I’ve been watching Friday Night Lights and kind of kicking myself that I took it off of the season pass last year just because they didn’t actually air it on Fridays. Seriously though, why would you name a show Friday Night Lights and not have it on that night? Didn’t really make sense to me.

This show is pretty great. Sometimes it’s over the top, but man, the accents and the hair are killing me. It’s a little like they are channeling some of the people in the small town where I live. Now, I’ve got to get back to the episode I’m watching (I’m half way through the season) and I need to see how the team is going to miraculously win the game this time. I’m hoping to see an episode where they just stomp the opposing team.

I actually don’t mind the strike. It means that maybe I will be able to catch all of the episodes from this season when they start showing reruns. I’m also hoping they do this with Samantha Who? since it conflicted with other shows on our viewing schedule.

Silent Sunday no.5

Normally, I’m pretty good in the kitchen.
