One of the most boring movies ever. I didn’t remember anything about it when Greg popped it into the DVD player. When I said as much, he replied, “Well good. That means you have low expectations.” After I saw the lead I said, “Now I do”.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Ian McShane, unfortunately, even he couldn’t save the movie. Just made me miss Deadwood that much more.

I thought the sky was beautiful today. I ended up taking loads of pictures. I settled on this one for the picture of the day, but I’m also partial to the one below. I love the blue of the sky and how you can see the rays of the sun through the clouds. Ever since I was a little girl, I thought that this was God’s way of saying, “hello, I’m here. Enjoy the show.”

Sounds like a radio station. A station you really hate hearing and automatically change when that’s where the dial stops.

After we got back from softball practice (today was the first one of the season), Zoey got a phone call from Nathan’s kindergarten teacher. She was calling to get Zoey’s help on some homework. Sure it was for her grandson, who is in Zoey’s class, but it was funny. This is the same boy who at Halloween called out, “It’s the smartest girl in 4th grade!”. Guess he really meant it.

Nathan’s baseball tryouts were last week. Apparently he did so well, that when the coaches had their draft last night, the person who told us he wanted Nathan on his team didn’t get a chance to select him. He was picked by someone else first. Of course, because I am his mom, I think this is awesome. You know, walking around like a peacock, “Oh yeah, that’s right. My son is amazing. You should have known it all along.” He’s pretty tickled also.

Somebody else’s garden. I think the Jane Magnolia is a beautiful tree. They are blooming like crazy right now.

I hardly ever buy new clothes or shoes for myself. So these are a real treat.

Night vision on the camera.
Time: about 11:05pm
Place: Allison’s bed
Notice that it is conspicuously empty.
Softball practice starts this week and possibly baseball. I’m going to try out many slow cooked meals and some Short Cut meals from an old Real Simple – Meals Made Easy cookbook. Like always, if we like them, I’ll post a separate entry with the recipe later. If you see something you would like to try, let me know and I will email you the recipe. A cool thing about my slow cooker recipe book is that it is made by Prevention so it has only healthy meals.

We had a big day of shopping and new hairstyles today. The girls both wanted to get some new looks. I was worried because they both have really beautiful, long, girly hair. Allison wanted the beautician to cut it up to her ears. There was no way.

Lunch from the best BBQ place in our area. A little Mom & Pop place on the side of the road. Delicious.
