Today Allison went in for the last set of her booster shots. She was prepared, knowing that she would probably get a shot in her arm, that it might hurt for just a second, and that after she would get a sucker.
She was ready and brave. Yesterday we even joked about how at least she didn’t have to get a shot in her butt, like grown-ups.
Greg said that she was so still and handled getting the shots so well that the nurses were all amazed. They gave her not one, but three suckers. They gave her a 4 pack of play-doh and one of the nurses tried to give her money. I guess it was a huge change from the normal scared kids they usually get.
