They are among us

I don’t know if you have heard of the show True blood (or the books on which they are based). The series is mostly about vampires. They take place in and near the Shreveport area. Last week when we were watching the show they kept mentioning little towns (and some vaguely named places) that sounded familiar. I hope those vampires don’t cross the river, into Texas. We are a little too close if you get my drift. Also, that BBQ place that Tara and her mom ate at in Keachi? In all our trips through on our way to Shreveport, I’ve never seen it. In fact, there isn’t much of anything in Keachi except for this really cool old plantation house that looks haunted. Maybe it is inhabited by vampires. I’ll have to take a picture the next time we drive through, while the sun is still shining.

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but…My name is Cindy and I’m a true Blood addict. There. Said it.

When we were in NYC last month there was a huge billboard for the show in Time’s Square. Bohdin was wondering what was dripping from her mouth. I distracted him because I didn’t want to explain vampires and drinking blood quite yet.

I finally got a chance to see True Blood last week thanks to my new cable with its Video on Demand feature; watched 5 1/2 episodes in a row and then had to make myself stop so I could get some sleep before driving up to OK the next morning. I’ve been avoiding finishing the 6th episode because I know they all end in cliffhangers and I’ll just get sucked into watching the rest of the season in one go, and I just don’t have the time to spare right now.
