I spent the night watching LA Ink last night. Those guys are some really talented artists. I’ve always been intrigued with the idea of a tattoo. The only hangup (besides the pain) is that I just can’t think of anything I would want on my body forever.
What do you think of tattoos? If you were to get one, either your first or an additional, what would it be? Where would you get it?
Well, tatooed already. It didn’t really hurt that badly. Mostly it felt like someone scratching the same place over and over with their fingernail, but maybe that had something to do with the location of my tattoo or something (shoulder). A coworker told me today that I should get my children’s names tattooed. I don’t think I will, but it was an interesting idea.

I have my one big one. It hurt only in a few spots.
I do want a second tat but cant seem to allocate the money to it. I also want to fix my first one. So that is probably what I would do first. I want to change it in some spots.
I try to talk Jon into getting one but he has the same problem that he doesn’t know what he wants.
When I was younger I always wanted a circle of honey bees around my belly button. Then I realized that if I ever got pregnant they would be big as birds and then shrink back down to soggy distorted things. I’m glad I didn’t do it. But I’m not sure I’ve given up on the idea of a tattoo all together.

I have a anklet of horses that I got probably 12 years ago. I still don’t regret it. I’d get another one if I could come up with something else I didn’t think I would regret, but I’m not the kind of person who likes tattoos all over, so it wouldn’t be big, and I wouldn’t get too many. Oh, and I had mine done, and the re-inked, and while it was unpleasant, it wasn’t major trauma. And I felt that way even before I had kids

no tatoos, here. my husband has two, but like you, i couldn’t really imagine something i’d want for-ev-errr. probably a word more than a picture…something inspiring. i do like the image/imagery of a tree of life, but i don’t think i’d ever do it. i do have my nose pierced, but that’s the extent of it:)

I spent a lot of time, working in nursing homes. When you get old they are all green and blurred.
I have two. But both of them are special to me. I spent a lot of time and effort and thinking and hem-hawing over these tattoos. I have a relative who is addicted to getting tattooed. I’ve lost count of the number. They’re all random and crazy and I feel that some of them don’t even reflect her personality. Personally I feel that if you are really going to get a tattoo, the symbol should really mean something to you and reflect your personality and loves. Sometimes those things are hard to symbolize and just wouldn’t come across as a good tattoo.
