While watching a show on the television, we saw a commercial for “Revenge of the Nerds“. Check your local listings. Allison laughed out loud and told us what she thought the plot summary was:
Ahahaha, those little nerd guys are getting some revenge?!!? Nerds must be trying to attack a house where people are eating their friends. I bet they are getting tired of everyone eating and liking them so much, so they turned evil and attacked the people.
Since she has been telling us not to call her a nerd lately (we never have, so I’m not sure where she came up with it), we explained that it was that kind of intelligent person. Not the delicious candy coated nerd.
I don’t know if I have mentioned it or not already, but this season all three of the kiddos will be playing ball. Nathan and Zoey started practicing last night. In a shocking turn of events, it looks like Nathan will be playing catcher this year. Really, that’s not so shocking. Every year he has dreaded hearing that the coach drafted him to play behind the plate. The shocking news is that he might actually look forward to and enjoy it. He says the only downfall is that this year, some of the pitchers can really send some fast balls in there. There is a good chance that Greg and I won’t see many of his practices. Instead, we’ll be dropping him off and splitting up between the girls.
Zoey was nailing the ball at practice last night. Since she hasn’t really practiced batting in the off season I hope it wasn’t just a fluke. It would be cool to see her score some runs this year. There are a few new girls on her team. Positions haven’t been assigned but I have a feeling she’ll be at second base again this year. She’s pretty easy going so wherever she is, she’ll have fun.
This morning Allison woke up, ran to the living room and started jumping on the sofa. “ONE MORE DAY UNTIL MY VERY FIRST SOFTBALL PRACTICE!!!”. She spent the rest of the morning, including the ride to school, high-fiving all of us. That girl is super excited.
Spring has been sneaking up on us for the past week or two. It’s time to mow the grass and plant some seeds for the summer garden. That also means it’s time for a new banner at the top.

Just because you haven’t met someone in person doesn’t mean you can’t be their friend right? Isabel is a friend from the internet. It’s hard to know what someone is really going through unless you have experienced it yourself. I have never been where she is now, but my heart is aching for her. Please send kind thoughts, prayers, whatever your beliefs allow toward her and her family.
