Summer time

You know what that means, right? If the kids want to spend time on the computer, they have to write at least a 2 paragraph blog post. Just our little way of making sure they stay literate over the summer break.

If you want a peak into the minds of the 12 year old, almost 11 year old, and the 5 year old, visit nothingontv.net. While the older two will be writing, Alli may sneak in every once in a while with some pictures or a video post.

We decided that this heat called for some water activities and checked out one of the lakes semi-close to us. There’s a great chance we won’t be back to this lake. It’s never a good sign when you see old band aids floating by and watch as people flick their cigarette butts into the water.

This one was taken before we went swimming. The girls decided that they needed to be glamorous while cleaning their room. Head scarfs and lip gloss are all it takes.

Greg and I will be doing some blog maintenance over the weekend. One of the things is moving over to a different server. On Monday, you will need to update your feedreaders and bookmarks. Also, don’t be surprised if things look a little strange over the next few days.

Have a great weekend!

6-18-2009 - Lounging

Zoey wanted to catch some rays while reading her book. I don’t know how much of a tan she got with the SPF 60 protection.

You can tell exactly what she’s thinking right? “Enough with the pictures already, Lady!”

New goggles and swim cap!

I was going to crop this down, but those kids in the back are too funny.

It occurred to me that we don’t have many pictures of Starlight. That could be because every time she sees us, she either runs to jump or immediately goes belly up. Crazy dog.

6-15-09 - Schmell it

Allison thinks it is a great treat to put on my deodorant. After she got done putting it on, she held her armpit out to me and said, "Schmell it, c’mon schmell it." in straight deadpan voice.
