Every year at about this time our yard is overtaken by blackbirds for a few days. I am guessing we are on their route south for the winter.

Here are a few in the tree tops.

I kept trying to get close enough to show just how many there were in the tree tops. Each time I got too close, they would all start to flock to the next farther tree.

This will be a series of pictures. Alli has to practice hand stands for gymnastics. Greg decided it would be fun to make a contest out of it and see who could hold theirs the longest.

It’s a good thing I was nominated to be the photographer and judge. I am terrible at hand stands. If I would have been in this one, it would be a front runner for Christmas cards. If we actually sent out Christmas cards.

Ta Da!

Board games on a rainy day.

Tonight Greg and I went to the movies. We went without the kids and on a school night!

Here is an inside view of the Rio Theater. It is one of the oldest theaters in East Texas. Next time I will take a picture from the balcony. Now it is where the kids like to sit, in the past it was used for segregation.
Since school was out yesterday, Alli had a friend over. They spent most of the time dressing crazy. This is Alli’s version of what Shakira would wear if she dressed in pink.

Strange. Alien Palm Trees.
